Who we are
This website is run by Mise En Place (Mise En Place Catering), Drakelands, Kilkenny, Ireland. We are the “data controller” for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at miseenplace@eircom.net or on 056 770 2936.
What we collect and why
Contact form
When you send us a message through our contact form we collect your name, phone number, your email address (if you give it) and the details of your enquiry. We use this only to reply to you and to arrange any catering you ask about. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Your message is emailed to us and a copy is stored securely in our website’s database.
Phone and email
If you call or email us, we use your details only to deal with your enquiry or order.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 12 months so we can follow up on bookings, after which they are deleted automatically. If you become a customer, we keep order and invoice records for as long as Irish tax law requires.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission. We use a small number of service providers to run this website:
- Website hosting – our website and its database are hosted by SiteGround.
- Maps – the map on our Contact page is provided by OpenStreetMap. When the map loads, your browser requests map images from OpenStreetMap’s servers, which receive your IP address. If you click “Get directions” you are taken to Google Maps, which has its own privacy policy.
Cookies
This website only uses cookies that are needed for it to work (for example, to remember a form submission or for website administration). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add website statistics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Your rights
Under data protection law (GDPR) you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, www.dataprotection.ie.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
